Tuesday Things.
1. The dreamiest chocolate loaf cake!
2. What scent do you remember your mom/grandmother wearing way back in the day? My mom wore obsession for a while when I was little, and then moved onto Dune, which my grandma also wore. I can still smell it!
3. I need family summer fruit storage ideas for my fridge. We LOVE fruit and go through a ton. I need a better system for storage and having it accessible.
4. TV things!! The Palm Royale finale… what! Is it coming back for another season? Also, just google the maya rudolph SNL open. It was incredible.
5. Maybe I should do the one-room-a-day cleaning method. If you even knew how much I need to clean the kitchen daily… !!!!
6. I have northern lights fomo over here… didn’t see them at all this weekend.
7. Finished reading this summer will be different over the weekend and it was SO good.
8. Restaurants from SATC that are still open today. Interesting!

I think #8 is missing a link! I would love to read about these restaurants from SATC. :)
Best fruit storage ideas that I use lemons or avocados in mason jars, submerged in water. For berries, I rinse and dry them off and then store them in Mason jars without any liquid.
So, I can remember my mom had a bottle of Helena Rubensteins Apple Blossom Time, which sat on her dresser since I was a little girl. It always intrigued me because it had a pink lid and a tiny pink ribbon on the box. It was only half full at that time, but after she died, I kept that almost empty bottle, still in its box, and have it placed on my dresser now. I just looked it up and it’s from the 1930’s. I still occasionally unscrew the lid and smell it, and it brings back some lovely memories of her.
Blueberries will last for weeks into months stored in a glass jar with a lid in the fridge. Do NOT wash before storing. Wash them as you use them. Strawberries and blackberries will last for a while too ( not as long as blueberries), in jars as well. Don’t wash them until ready to use either!
Jean N’ate (or however you spell it). My grandmother wore it daily and I think it’s a comfort to my mom (now 84). Now she wears it everyday!
A few years ago, I won a $1000 Amazon gift card from you. At the time, I had just found out that my husband was having an affair (which lasted for six years). I got My own Amazon account and never used that $1000 until late last year when I got the courage to confront him about the marriage. The demise was partially me, I won’t blame him. I just wanted to tell you that the money has come in handy over the last six months since he moved out. I was super excited when I won, but more appreciate when I’ve needed it most. Thank you, truly from the bottom of my heart.
