Tuesday Things.
1. Unpopular opinion: I dislike April fools. Oh but I love when the first of the month hits on a Monday!
2. So excited it’s April though. I’m generally so uninspired when it comes to recipes in the Jan/Feb/Mar months. If you even knew the amount of recipe disasters I go through!
3. These almond croissant cookies look incredible.
4. Sometimes I just want a chocolate chip cookie without the chocolate.
5. Very obsessed with the unexpected red theory.
6. TV things!! I started Girls On The Bus which I LOVE. Also loving Palm Royale so much.
7. 51 simple pleasures in life.
8. I tried the cold foam in a can (clearly I don’t have high standards) and I’m here to tell you: it’s just whipped cream. That is all.

“That is all.” ha ha ha – thanks for reporting back!
I will pick a brown sugar/ brown butter cookie over a chocolate chip cookie any day of the week for exactly that reason–they taste like a great chocolate chip cookie without the chocolate : )
I love the chocolate chip cookie part without the chocolate – it’s the brown sugar . Thanks for the update on the “cold foam” I had it in my hand and put it back.
Did you post your 2023 recipe disasters? I looked earlier this year but didn’t find it. This post reminded me of those posts
Agree! I love the realness of the recipe disasters and always looked forward to seeing Jessica take on a lighthearted approach.
I wondered if I missed that post too. Always look forward to seeing it every January. I am a rare breed and don’t like chocolate so I make a batch of chocolate chip cookies and only put chocolate chips in half!
The thing about the unexpected red theory is that the examples they show are generally rooms that are fairly neutral and a pop of red works… I want to see some examples of rooms that already have a lot of color.
Palm Royale.. The Fashion!!! loving it and such a great cast!
chocolate chip cookies are my favorite, but i always skew to far less chocolate chips in my preference because i really enjoy the toffey flavor of the dough itself. don’t ruin it with too much chocolate. i don’t like getting a chocolate chip that’s mostly chocolate- if i wanted a chocolate cookie i would have one
I like to make chocolate chip cookies but only half the chips.
