Cheddar Cheeseburger Sliders with House Sauce.
These cheeseburger sliders are so insanely good, you won’t want a burger any other way!
Okay, we’re finishing off comfort food week with these for the big game on Sunday. Cannot even express how super bowl worthy these are. I reeeeally hope you try them because they are such a treat.
And it’s official.
I am in LOVE with this recipe.
The concept isn’t new, but these sliders are SUCH a fun way to serve burgers to your family, especially if you don’t want to light up the grill. My smash burgers are my favorites to make indoors, but these are taking a very close second.
They are SO easy. They taste like heaven.
The ingredients are ridiculously simple too. Buns, beef, cheese, condiments of your choice.
And my house sauce, hello!
They take 10 minutes to throw together, then another 10 or 15 to bake until melty.
SERIOUSLY. It does not get easier.
And you can prep all the ingredients ahead of time if you’d like! These are so easily customizable.
If you’ve been around here for awhile, you might remember yearssss ago when I made these slow cooker cheeseburgers. They are weirdly good, even if they technically take longer than a real burger. Just a nice switch.
I took some inspiration from that (and my cheeseburger pizza!) to mix condiments INTO the actual ground beef, which goes such a long way. I know it seems a little weird, especially if you don’t like mustard, but I promise you can’t taste it. It almost makes the filling taste like a shake shack-ish burger and is totally restaurant worthy. It’s delightful!
So this is how simple it it:
Brown the ground beef.
Layer the buns, cheese, beef, house sauce. Maybe more cheese if you’re into it. (Always into it!)
Bake until warm.
Serve with all the burger toppings that you love.
That is it!
It’s embarrassingly easy. Eddie, who is basically a burger connoisseur, adores them. Max and Emilia LOVE that they are tiny sliders that their little hands can grab. I find them so much easier to eat too!
Hoping that sells you if the cheesy bites do not! They are DELISH.

Easy Double Cheddar Cheeseburger Sliders

- ¼ cup house sauce (recipe below)
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup freshly grated white sharp cheddar cheese

- 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon your favorite BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Slice the slab of slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping them attached as much as you can. Place the bottom of the rolls on a baking sheet.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart into small crumbles. Stir in the ketchup and mustard until combined.
- Place the sliced sharp cheddar on the bottom layer of the slider buns. Top that with the ground beef mixture. Drizzle on the house sauce. Sprinkle with the shredded cheddar.
- Top with the slider buns. Brush with a touch of olive oil or butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake the sliders for 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melty. Serve immediately with your favorite burger condiments and house sauce.
house sauce
- Whisk all ingredients together until smooth and combined. You can make this a day or so ahead of time!

We love your house sauce and we love a slider…I can’t wait to try these!
thanks melanie!
These sound fabulous, but alas, I live in Latvia where there is no such thing as slider buns. Oh, well.
I have had to use hot dog buns before, just slice to the slider size. Hoagie buns, etc. :)
love that idea!
Made these tonight as written except I used 4 regular sized buns and I put romaine and tomato on it when it came out of the oven. Soooooo good! My husband and son both agreed they were better than restaurant gourmet burgers! I also served them with Japanese sweet potato fries. Best dinner I’ve had in a while!
Just made these for the Super Bowl half time and they were so good. Only change I made was swapping slices of American cheese for the shredded cheddar. Will definitely make again!
These were so insanely delicious and SO easy!!! I was lazy and didn’t make the house sauce but instead threw some Mayo in with the ketchup and mustard to the ground beef. Delish!!
Made these delicious sliders last night. Thank you for a meal that is incredibly quick but also answers the weekly question, “What should I make with this pound of ground beef?” Thank you!!!
Made sliders today for lunch. So easy, quick and delicious! Love your house sauce.
If my husband is super weird about condiments, could I leave them out of the cooking process without drying out the meat?
These are delicious and so easy! The House Sauce is so wonderful, it now has it’s own bottle in my refrigerator. It is our new House Dipping Sauce.

These are so simple to make and taste AMAZING!
All the family loved these, thankyou!!
OH my gosh! These were delicious, so quick and easy to put together. I will definitely make these again.
These are awesome!! They’re so tasty and easy for the kids to eat! Love them!
We’ve made these a few times now and the whole family loves them! The house sauce is so good.
Found this recipe in Feb and this is my 5th time making them! They are prepped and ready to go in the oven once game night starts! Super easy, so delicious, and my tween daughter is OBSESSED which also helps :P There are never any leftovers (aside from the 2 my daughter sneaks away to pack in her lunch box the next day!)
Love these so much … a weekly go to recipe at our Lakehouse when we are entertaining. Do you ever make them a day or two in advance? Curious on how they keep if you do that. Thank you!
Would love to know what is your favorite store bought BarBQue sauce?
I’m so surprised there is no salt, pepper, onion, garlic (minced or powdered) but I’m going to try the recipe as is for my first pass. They sure look good.
These look amazing! If I wanted to prep these in the morning for a party in the evening, how should I adjust the recipe? Would I just cook the sliders longer since the meat would be cool? Thank you!
We absolutely love these. I have been making them a least once a month for the last year and a half. We keep the Special Sauce in its own bottle in the refrigerator at all times. We use it on salmon, chicken, burgers, turkey…. You name it. The only change we make is adding spicy pickles. Thank you so much for the recipe!!

Can I make these 1 day in advance and refrigerate
These were delicious and my kiddos (11 & 7) loved them!
Made these substituting vegan ingredients (impossible) and they were AMAZING!! And so easy!
I HAVE made these, and on repeat! We love them. They are easy, and very tasty! They also freeze well. I wrap them individually and they are ready to eat whenever the urge strikes. It is one of the many make ahead foods I made for my elderly father, who needed to eat, but didn’t cook.
This is a go-to recipe for summer swim team picnics. Any event involving teens, really! There are never any leftovers.
