Peanut Butter Cup Golden Grahams S’mores Bars.
We adore these golden grahams smores bars with peanut butter cups! Super melty, marshmallowy and ridiculously crunchy, these bars are like a giant crunchy s’more filled with mini peanut butter cups. Everyone goes wild for them!
Here’s to the crispiest, crunchiest treat you can make this season.
These golden grahams s’mores bars are filled with melty marshmallows and mini peanut butter cups. They are gooey and crunchy and filled with the best flavor combo in the universe: chocolate and peanut butter.
If you haven’t tried the golden grahams treats, you must. They are basically rice krispy treats, but with golden grahams.
And I don’t even know how to say this, but golden grahams are kind of better than regular graham crackers.
YEP.
I said it.Â
They are so thin and crunchy and crispy. Poured into a bowl of milk… the texture is phenomenal. So I can’t even begin to express how great they are mixed with melty marshmallows, brown butter, peanut butter cups…Â
I mean, oh my gosh.Â
This is how I make them!
First, brown a stick of butter. LOVE this. I let it bubble and get some brown bits.
Then, I stir in the marshmallows. Let them get super melty and creamy. Add a splash of vanilla too!
Next, take everything off the heat. Stir in a bunch of the graham cereal.Â
THEN, stir in some mini peanut butter cups! I love the ones from trader joes, but reese’s makes them now too!Â
The key is doing a quick fold so they don’t totally melt. Use a strong, sturdy spatula because the marshmallows are sticky and can be hard to stir.Â
I press the entire mixture into a 9×13 dish using parchment paper to press and pack.Â
The best part about these? They only need, like, 30 minutes to set. Maybe not even that!
On the flipside, you can make them an entire day ahead of time before slicing them. Super fun and versatile for a summer cookout!
These taste like the most dreamy s’more. The texture is WILD. I am such a texture lover and this might be the best textured treat I have ever made.
Ridiculously crunchy.
Crispy and chewy.
But melty and gooey at the same time!Â
Golden Grahams Smores Bars with Peanut Butter Cups
Peanut Butter Cup Golden Grahams S'mores Bars
Ingredients
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter
- 26 ounces mini marshmallows
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 10 cups golden grahams cereal
- 2 cups mini peanut butter cups
Instructions
- As a note, I buy 1 large (16 ounce) bag and 1 small (10 ounce) bag of mini marshmallows! This makes it super easy.
- Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray. I like avocado spray.
- First, measure out 1 cup of mini marshmallows and set them aside.
- Place the butter in a large stock pot over medium heat. Let it melt and bubble until it begins to brown a bit.
- Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the rest of the marshmallows. Stir with a spatula until the marshmallows melt. Make sure to keep this over low heat!
- Once the marshmallows are melted, turn off the heat. Stir in the vanilla. Stir in the golden grahams, adding half and stirring, then adding the remaining half. Try to fold and stir until they are well combined.
- Add the remaining 1 cup of marshmallows and the mini peanut butter cups. Work quickly but gently, stirring in the marshmallows and peanut butter cups.
- Press the mixture into the greased pan. I use a sheet of parchment or wax paper to press the mixture into the pan well, getting into the corners and making sure the top is even.
- Let the bars sit for at least 30 minutes before slicing. Serve!

These sound loveley, but I have someone who cannot do peanuts. Can I add other candy? Or none? Thanks!
Wow- these look incredible!
OMG! Those look delicious and I will definitely be making this summer!
What is the measurement on the mini peanut butter cups?
Do you need 26 oz of mini marshmallows AND 2 cups of mini marshmallows? I think the 2 cups should be mini peanut butter cups.
Yum! How many PB cups do you use? Think this might be missing
The recipe I Seen Says 2 Cups Of The Mini Peanut Butter Cups!
Hope This Helps
This looks like such a treat — going to make these for a 4th of July beach party! However, I think I missed something as I can’t find how many mini-PB cups to add. Help!
When do you add in the vanilla? I don’t see it in the instructions.Â
These were a big hit with both kids and adults at a party I brought them to! I made a few small changes – as I couldn’t find golden grahams in Canada, I used cinna-graham toast crunch, supplemented with some teddy grahams to make up enough dry ingredients. I also added some dark chocolate chunks along with the mini reeses to give more traditional smores vibes. They were very gooey and sweet overall, a fun summer dessert!
I love this idea! I make a very similar version with chocolate chips instead of pb cups. I pop the choc chips in the freezer briefly while the butter melts, so that they don’t instantly melt when mixing it all together. Excited to try these. Thanks!
These are the BEST things I have ever made–I could not stop eating them!!! Such a perfect treat! Thank you!!! (Or not…..my pants might be getting a little tight soon ;))
